DM3 MICROSD/ TRANSFLASH CARD CONNECTOR
HIROSE continues to strengthen its position on the card connector market!
The industry trend toward increasingly slimmer and smaller solutions is propelling the demand for microSD card readers. Already, this very latest card format occupies a mere 1/10 the total area of a conventional SD card, while at the same time providing 1GB memory capacity.

Thanks to its many advantages, it has taken relatively no time for HIROSE's DM3 to be ordered and produced in ever larger numbers.
Equipped with an innovative Tray Slide Ejector, the DM3 has a significant leg up on the competition. The "push-in-push-out" ejector has a total spring travel of 4mm and comprises a special mechanism that prevents the card from falling out when it is ejected. The card reader's user-friendly design also protects the microSD card from being inadvertently inserted. Proper insertion of the card triggers the built-in end switch.
In addition, the DM3 solder joints are located outside of the housing to facilitate visual inspection after the connector has been assembled to the board. Measuring a mere 1.68mm in overall height, HIROSE's microSD connector has the lowest profile of any solution on the market. And, of course, the DM3 meets RoHS directives.
