THE 5.7" TFT
DISPLAY FAMILY IS EXPANDING!
Several years ago, color displays with
a 5.7" active screen diagonal (area) advanced to best-sellers, even if they were
based on what is by now "outdated" CSTN technology.

At the time, the switch to TFT
Displays was still quite costly and unit prices simply too high. Today, however, TFTs have
reached a cost level on par with CSTN displays and, depending on the design, may even be
less costly. The resulting increase in demand and unit production quantities has led to
continued expansion of the 5.7" TFT display family, including ongoing optimization of
individual models. Our newest 5.7" TFTs have VGA resolution, optional LED
backlighting (instead of CCFL) and touch panels.
