PCIe CONNECTIVITY SOLUTIONS
We knew it could only be a matter of time until a top connectivity solution specialist like OXFORD SEMICONDUCTOR rolled out chips for PCI Express (PCIe) interfaces.
Well, that time is now, as the company's new PCIe product family - designated Expresso - recently went into volume production! The devices permit expanding existing applications with multiple serial UART interfaces (ports) via a PCIe bus, and a version with a parallel port is also offered. OXFORD SEMICONDUCTOR UARTs are based on the 950 UART industry standard, and they are equipped with a 128-byte FIFO that supports a baud rate of up to 15Mbps. An overview of the Expresso family devices, including functionality and technical features, is provided in the adjoining table. Of course, the availability of drivers is equally important for such solutions, and the table shows which operating systems are currently supported with device drivers.

To facilitate ease of design-in, a cost-effective evaluation kit is available for each Expresso device. The evaluation kit includes the required PCIe board, chip samples, circuit diagrams and Oxide design software. Among its many advantages, Oxide makes it easy to adapt EEPROM configuration files and modify INF files.
I would be happy to provide you with more information!
