The VLT200 for industrial solutions and MVLT200 for medical applications are specially designed power supplies that meet the above requirements. The M/VLT200 series' patented resonant converter topology delivers efficiencies upwards of 85%. What's more, the aluminum U-channel design permits the already comparably low dissipated heat to be removed directly from the end device via thermal contact. The M/VLT200 delivers 120W of continuous power under natural (static) air conditions, with 200W available for short peaks or under fan operation. At the low end of the power scale, where current OEM designs seek to minimize standby current, the additional 5V standby output can ensure bridging of the supply in sleep mode. That is because the 5Vsb output remains active even when the main output is switched off via the remote ON/OFF contact (with TTL-level triggering).
Additional security of supply for the DC voltage is assured by the power fail signal, which indicates a drop below 90% of nominal output voltage via the TTL level. For applications requiring more rapid regulation (to +/- 1%) than the M/VLT200's fundamentally quick response, 2-wire remote sensing leads are provided to compensate for long cable runs. To ideally support plug-and-play solutions, RED ROCKET, INC. offers these power supplies with international approvals (CB, UL, CE) and built-in leeway with respect to EMC/EMR.
