TDK SEMICONDUCTOR: A
NEW FOCUS, A NEW STRATEGY
TDK is set to launch a veritable fireworks of system-on-chip solutions onto the market.
The first of many: Smart Card Terminal Controllers.
TDK Semiconductor is a world leader in mixed-signal ICs for applications such as digital
cable and satellite set-top boxes, LAN, MAN and WAN solutions, point-of-sale terminals,
measuring devices and smart card readers. TDK's extensive experience with system-level
modems and networks is reflected in the functionality of its products.

Over the next 24 months, TDK will be
launching additional system-on-chip fireworks, with new solutions based on the company's
proven core competences. The new smart card terminal controller already offers a first
taste of things to come. In addition to the smart card interface, the chip has an
integrated microcontroller, display and keyboard driver and a variety of different
communications interfaces.
So keep an eye to the sky, because the fireworks are coming soon! You'll be glad you did.
