ALMOST TOO SMALL: THE JUPITER CALLISTO

NAVMAN NAMED THE NEWEST, ULTRA-COMPACT MEMBER OF ITS TRIED-AND-TRUE JUPITER PRODUCT FAMILY "CALLISTO", AFTER ONE OF PLANET JUPITER'S MOONS.

The new miniature 12-channel GPS receiver module delivers highest performance, including the fastest time to first fix yet: < 1 minute from a full cold start. Callisto's compact footprint and low current consumption make it ideal for a multitude of handheld and battery-powered applications, or as a low-cost solution for object tracking.

The receiver continuously tracks all satellites in view and delivers extremely accurate satellite positioning data at very competitive price.

The Callisto is packaged in a 19mm x 17.6mm surface mount design enclosure. Thanks to its low weight - typically 1.7 grams - and a low minimum power consumption of 50mA, the compact receiver fits well into a wide variety of designs and applications, especially those where designers wish to maximize production efficiency and reduce system costs.

NAVMAN is known for manufacturing high-quality, customer-tailored GPS modules and complete navigation systems. The new Callisto leaves the competition in the dust, and it paves the way for additional ultra-compact, Callisto-based products in the future.

Features:
• Ultra compact: 19.2 x 17.7 x 2.5 mm
• Low power consumption: 50 mA
• Integrated memory: 8 MB Flash
• Accuracy better than 2 meters
• Power management
• SMD enclosure
