MINIATURIZED TO FIT RS-MMC FLASH CARDS!

YAMAICHI'S NEW MINIATURIZED RS-MMC FLASH CARD CONNECTOR FEATURES AN INNOVATIVE PUSH/PUSH DESIGN.

Like the SD Card Association and its miniSD standard, the Multi Media Card Association (MMCA) has recognized the trend towards electronics miniaturization and responded with its own "Reduced Size-MMC" standard.

YAMAICHI Electronics, the specialist for FLASH memory card connectors, now offers two miniaturized card holders for RS-MMC applications, both from the FLS007 series.

The FLS007-6001-2 is equipped with YAMAICHI's highly functional push/push mechanism. The designation "reversed type" indicates that the connector is mounted on the underside of the PCB. The connector housing measures 27x 18.6 x 2mm, which gives it a form factor only slightly larger than that of the card itself (24 x 18 x 1.4mm).

The manual FLS007-5000-0 version is designed as a top-mounted contacting unit to save board space and weight.

Both of the new connectors offer extreme reliability and ease of operation for mating with standard MMCs. They are also vibration resistant thanks to Yamaichi's patented 2-point finned contacts. They come in tape and reel packaging for SMT reflow soldering.
