FEAS: A PRODUCT LINE PACKED WITH COMPACT POWER SOLUTIONS!
CODICO HAS EXPANDED ITS RANGE OF SPECIALITY POWER SUPPLIES FOR APPLICATIONS SUCH AS HOME AUTOMATION, DISTRIBUTION, SWITCH CABINETS AND EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS (IP 65,...).
FEAS power supply products are known for their high stability and reliability, as well as their ultra-compact design. The CODICO lineup of FEAS products includes rail and board mounted power supplies, and compact, highly robust DC-UPS solutions.
FEAS's high-performance power supplies are manufactured using long-life components on dual-sided, through-plated circuit boards. The devices feature a housing made of aluminum cords (manufactured in-house) and are fully encapsulated. In most cases, that makes them suitable for tropical environments (condensation permitted). Versions conforming to IP65 class protection, with either specially configured contacts or directly cast cable ends to meet the standard, are also available. The standard versions (IP40) are fitted with robust clamp blocks.
Power Supplies:
Single and 3-phase FEAS power supplies are extremely immune to noise pulses and surges on the input side.

All models dissipate heat via their closed housing (no ventilation openings). The switching topology comprises unregulated, linear regulated and switch-mode versions.
Switch-Mode Power Supplies:
The outputs of FEAS's switch-mode power supplies feature overload protection that uses constant current limiting and a thermally controlled characteristic curve. In an overheated condition, they are able to self-correct the current limiting characteristic curve automatically. Operating temperature therefore extends from -30°C to +70°C, and the devices can be stored at up to 105°C. The high-efficiency design (86 - 88%) furthermore permits small-footprint designs.
Unregulated Power Supplies:
FEAS's unregulated power supply products include versions with continuous short circuit protection, and the entire lineup features the same compact, fully-encapsulated design as described above.
Linear Regulated Power Supplies:
With FEAS as a partner, CODICO now also supplies linear regulated power supplies for DIN rail mounting, with <10mV residual ripple.
DC-UPS:
DC uninterrupted power supplies complete the FEAS product range. They are equipped with the same aluminum-cord housing as described above, and some versions include accumulators (NiCd, NiMH) rated for temperatures between -20°C and +70°C. Currently available in DC-input versions, the range is being expanded to include AC-input versions in the fall of 2004.
