250-WATT POWER SUPPLY OFFERS COMPACT FRONT-END SOLUTION
FOR ALL THOSE SEEKING MORE THAN THEIR CURRENT POWER SUPPLY DELIVERS, AT A HIGHLY REASONABLE PRICE!
For example, are you looking for 175W delivered continuously at 50°C under free-air convection, or 250W with forced-air cooling, and plenty of reserves to handle brief overloads beyond 300W? Or, maybe 1U rack height or a footprint measuring 4" x 7" x 1.5" (10cm x 17.8cm x 3.8cm) is what you need? Or, perhaps you require protection against continuous overload, or longer than specified peak currents, in addition to standard overtemperature and overvoltage cut-off functionality?
But then again, you may be seeking an always-on standby voltage of 5V, delivering up to 5W even when the main output is shut off (which our solution delivers via the integrated remote on/off control line)? Or maybe an additional 12V output for temperature-regulated cooling of the entire application?
Or, could network "AC Good" or "DC Fail" signaling, or perhaps active load sharing during parallel operation and a standard remote sensing output be what you're looking for?

Even if you are looking for all of the above, ARTESYN has a new standard solution to meet your needs! It's called the NLP250, and it carries the necessary approvals to ideally suit medical and information technology (ITE) applications. Three different outputs are optionally available, 12V, 24V and 48V, and each delivers 250W of continuous power under 200LFM forced-air cooling (175W for convection cooling), while operating at up to 70°C with derating.
An internal potentiometer enables adjustment of the output voltage to +/-5%, and overall regulation is maintained to within +/-2%. The 5V standby output delivering 1A is independently regulated to +/-5%. The auxiliary 12V fan output delivering up to 0.3A is remotely turned on/off in unison with the main output. The universal input complies with IEC61000-3-2 and accepts voltages of 85 - 264VAC. Also employing the latest high frequency switch-mode technology, the NLP250 achieves efficiencies of 84% at 115VAC and 86% at 230VAC. The high overload capacity of 130% ensures a constant output even for highly capacitive loads, motor starts, electromagnetic devices and thermal printers. Internal O-ring diodes fitted to the main outputs protect the NLP250 against reverse voltages, and provide for easy implementation of N+1 redundancy applications.
The series complies with EN55022-B EMC standards, and with the immunity standards EN61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5 and -6, levels 3. The NLP250 medical versions are approved to EN60601-1/UL2601-1, with a rated isolation resistance of 4,000VAC input/output and 2000VAC input/chassis. They are also equipped with dual fuses and have a very low ground leakage current of 140µA. The standard ITE version operates with a ground leakage current of 1mA max. and offers an isolation resistance of 3000/1500VAC respectively.
