RoHS CONFORMING ROTARY CODED SWITCHES
THE NEW SC&SD-1000/2000 ROTARY CODED SWITCHES FROM COPAL ELECTRONICS MEET FUTURE REQUIREMENTS FOR LEAD-FREE SOLDERING OF ELECTRONICS COMPONENTS.
Both new series feature an ultra-low profile of 3.9mm and are made exclusively from heat-resistant material. The switches provide a true switching feel, thanks to their metallic spring. Both types offer 10 or 16 positions, and are available with real or complementary coding in both wire and SMD versions. Top-setting and side-setting versions of both are also available, and COPAL offers a choice of normal and cross slots, as well as versions with a knob.

The terminal pins and contacts are made of gold-plated copper alloy, and are arranged in a 4+1 layout for the SC series and 3+3 for the SD series. The operating temperature range extends from -25°C to +85 °C, and the load life is specified for 20,000 switching steps. With the introduction of its SC&SD-1000/2000 series, COPAL Electronics offers rotary coded switches with improved performance characteristics to meet future lead-free soldering requirements now.
