YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS HAS INTRODUCED A NEW Y-CON SERIES COMPONENT SUPPORTING INDUSTRIALLY-PROTECTED CONNECTION AND CABLING SOLUTIONS: THE Y-CONCOUPLER-1* AND MATCHING
Y-CON-25C COUPLER JACK.
The new coupler enables quick and easy extensions to existing cable runs. Together with the proven Y-Con series flange, this RJ45 coupler module (without electronics) is IP68 and IP67 protected.

In addition to permitting the use of metric cable glands, the new connectors can also be screw mounted on a wall, and stacked vertically or horizontally thanks to the integrated mounting rails. The coupler module is available in black or blue. The Y-ConJack-25C is the coupler jack on the circuit board for the Y-ConCoupler. The shielding is made of nickel-plated brass. If required, the coupler jack can also be equipped with a repeater switch that is soldered onto the board's intermediate section.
The jack has eight data contacts and two additionally integrated power contacts. The two added power contacts represent a key advantage of the Y-ConRJ45 series, and they are integrated in all series components. They eliminate the need for a second wiring for power, which must additionally be protected in rough field applications -> the YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS solution thus saves double effort and cost!
