"WITH A LITTLE BIT OF LUCK..." THAT WAS THE TITLE OF A 2004 IMPULSE ARTICLE ABOUT CODICO'S FOUNDER, DR. HEINRICH HAWLIK. SINCE I HAVE BEEN WITH CODICO FOR OVER A YEAR NOW, WHICH MAKES IT ABOUT TIME THAT CUSTOMERS FOUND OUT MORE ABOUT MY BACKGROUND, I WOULD LIKE TO REFOCUS ATTENTION TO THESE WORDS AS I INTRODUCE MYSELF.
I completed secondary modern school (Realschule) and went on to perform an apprenticeship at Lufthansa, before doing my 15 months of obligatory military service.

I next took advantage of a "second-chance" education program to obtain an engineering degree from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. My first job soon found me working in sales initially as an application engineer and then as a product manager for a renowned German distribution company. In 1988, I moved to field sales, and I have been providing technical and commercial advice to customers throughout northern Germany ever since. I have always enjoyed discussing the many challenges that customers face, and of course also finding the right solution! And I'm especially pleased to have helped many a customer discover solutions that led to completely new applications for their products in the past.
With a little bit of luck, that's the way it will continue now that I am with CODICO
and I am very confident that it will, thanks to the dedicated support that I have received so far from the entire CODICO team. A heartfelt thank you therefore goes out to all of my colleagues, and to my boss, who admittedly doesn't always have it easy dealing with such an "old sales fox."
In my free time, I like to play tennis and go roller skating. I also try to keep my garden in order (though, in all honesty, my partner helps me out a lot with that!). And, when I can, I go touring in my motorhome. My vacation target of choice is Italy, but, when I'm working, my preferred "target" is to satisfy customers!
