RUN FOR FUN
CODICO EMPLOYEES RUN FOR FUN!
Five CODICO ladies got up at 6:30 AM on Sunday, June 11, 2006, put on their running shoes and headed to Vienna's Prater to participate in the Women's Run 2006.
When the starting gun sounded right on time at 10 AM, CODICO's power ladies - Barbara Maier, Elisabeth Streiter-Bax, Judith Fuchshuber, Birgit Verhoeven and Stefanie Gotz - were raring to go. Competing in the team event, the runners gave their all, with each managing to finish her 5 kilometer leg in under 30 minutes. As a result, CODICO's first ever Women's Run team finished an impressive 16th among 110 competing teams!

Barbara Maier: 28:23.9
"It was so much fun to participate. The atmosphere was wonderful and I really felt super. I'm definitely going to do it again next year!"
Elisabeth Streiter-Bax: 27:13.2
"Wow, my first running race ever! What a great feeling to cross the finish line with so many other women. I've already decided that I'll be back in 2007!"
Judith Fuchshuber: 26:11.0
"It was definitely one of my best experiences as a runner. There was a lot of team spirit and it was a real joy to run."
Birgit Verhoeven: 28:15.7
"It was my first race as a runner, too. I have to say that the organizers did a great job, and I had great fun."
Stefanie Gotz: 28:03.3
"I never liked running much, but competing for the CODICO team was really a blast - even more so because we placed so high! I'm sure I'll be back next year, now that I've caught the running fever!"
Obviously, we all had a great time. Now we hope more female CODICO employees enter in 2007. The race categories are 5km, 10km and Nordic Walking.
