U.FL - AN ULTRA MINIATURE COAX CONNECTOR THAT CAN HANDLE UP TO 6 GHz, AND ONE OF THE SMALLEST SMT COAX SOLUTIONS AVAILABLE ANYWHERE.
The HIROSE U.FL / U.FL(V) series truly is one of the smallest and lightest SMT miniature coax connectors currently available. It features an extremely low mated height of 2.5 / 2mm, while occupying a mere 7.7mm˛ of board space. Previous U.FL versions offered three different cable diameters, with VSWR extending from 1.3GHz to a high of 3GHz.
The improved U.FL guarantees excellent RF performance all the way up to 6GHz, which suits it for IEEE802.11 based applications (e.g., future Bluetooth, 5.2GHz).

Another significant advantage of the entire Hirose FL series: all connectors can be connected to their respective receptacles from any direction (360°).
Thanks to its popularity as an antenna connector solution, the U.FL has emerged as a quasi standard for mobile applications, with millions of units already sold. Renowned customers like Siemens, Alps, and Lucent prefer using the HIROSE series in their modules. CODICO offers socket only versions as well as the assembled connectors.
