WAVESAT BRINGS
miniPCI TO WiMAX

THE WORLD'S FIRST WiMAX miniPCI REFERENCE DESIGN PAVES THE WAY FOR SMALL FORM-FACTOR, LOW-COST WiMAX CPE DESIGNS.

Introduction of the WiMAX miniPCI reference design is a major step toward development of small form-factor, and thus low-cost, WiMAX Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).

Coming from WAVESAT, the company that also brought the world's first WiMAX baseband chip to market, the new miniPCI reference design is further proof that WAVESAT continues to lead the industry in technological advancement.

The new 3.5GHz miniPCI reference design is a development platform that supports engineers in the design of WiMAX systems. Thanks to its plug-and-play operation, the platform enables the rapid design and manufacture of cost-effective WiMAX end devices. It fully supports all WiMAX profiles that are a part of the first round of certification, including a bandwidth of 3.5GHz RF and TDD and HFDD operation. The WAVESAT reference design incorporates PHY and low-level MAC functionality, as well as the RF circuitry and a standard miniPCI interface for connection to the customer motherboard.
