RUBYCON NEWS ON THE KXF SERIES
KXF SERIES - FURTHER MINIATURIZATION WITHIN THE LOW-PROFILE SEGMENT
RUBYCON developed the KXF series of snap-in elcaps especially for applications with
limited above-board height. At a height of 20mm, the series can help designers avoid time
consuming assembly steps, such as the bending of radial electrolytic capacitors. Compared
to the existing RUBYCON low-profile snap-in series (AXF), the new KXF series offers 30%
less volume.

With the ability to reduce the
diameter, designers thus have increased board space available, while higher capacitance
values are an added benefit. And, despite the reduced size, the KXF series maintains the
same high permissible ripple current.
