CONTENT - WITH TYCO!
UNDER THE ALCOSWITCH BRAND NAME, TYCO ELECTRONICS OFFERS A BROAD PALLET OF MODULAR CONTROL
SWITCHES AND INDICATING UNITS.
With ALCOSWITCH in the lineup, TYCO Electronics is able to provide a wide range of control
and switching products for low-voltage circuit applications!
The switches feature protection against particle, dust and moisture penetration in
accordance with IP65 (IEC/EN60529) and are ideally suited for use in low-voltage circuits
for both AC and DC applications. The switch bodies are made of thermoplastic, with metal
body actuators in round and square versions also available, and are designed for 22mm
diameter fixings.
The comprehensive control switch range comprises momentary and maintained push-button
versions, including illuminated and non-illuminated types, keylock and long-handle
selector switches, push-button types with pilot lamps, and mushroom and emergency stop
push-button switches.

The entire range meets all relevant
safety directives, including CSA, CE and UL approvals, and a wide choice of accessories is
equally available.
The thermoplastic switch bodies are centrally fixed using an all-new, ergonomically shaped
lock nut, which can be easily and safely fitted by hand or by using the installation tool.
Depending on the switch type, the operating temperature range can extend from -25° to
+80°C, while mechanical life expectancy ranges from 200,000 to as high as 6 million
switching operations. In addition, the non-illuminated pushbutton switches and pilot
lights are available in colors according to IEC/EN60204-1.
TYCO's switch offering is complemented by a wide range of contact blocks and power
supplies that have a quick-connect locking system, and which can be wired independently
from the switch body. This provides a high degree of flexibility, as well as easy
installation and maintenance!
The modular contact blocks offer a choice of screw or snap-in terminals, and are designed
for rated voltages of 24 to 600V, and 10 to 1.6A of rated current. They furthermore
provide short circuit protection to 1kA, thus meeting the requirements for C Group
(VDEO1106) and Class II (CEI 23-11).
