The series is resistant to chemicals
and salt spray, and is water and dust proof in accordance with IP68. As a result, Clipper
connectors are ideal for use in rough environments, for example in outdoor signaling
systems or inside traffic tunnels.
Beyond outstanding durability, the series also provides ease of assembly: The contacts can
be inserted and extracted without the need for special tools. The quick locking and highly
robust bayonet coupling mechanism furthermore permits easy connection and disconnection
even in hard-to-reach areas. The Clipper series offers a choice of 8 different contact
configurations that accommodate from 4 to 40 positions. 4 of the layouts are VDE approved
for a supply voltage of either 250 or 380VAC.
