NEW IEEE1394 CONNECTOR WITH INDUSTRIAL-STRENGTH PROTECTION!
The plug-and-play FireWire interface (IEEE1394a) is rapidly gaining popularity in the
industrial sector as well. Thanks to its high data rates, the standard is well suited for
transferring all types of data relevant to the industrial environment via a single medium,
including tasks traditionally performed by a fieldbus. To ensure compatibility of the new
connector with industrial applications, YAMAICHI has provided the plug side with a robust
IEEE cable in a PUR casing. The temperature resistance extends from -20°C to + 85°C, and
the standard length of the cable assembly measures 2m each for the IP69K and IP20 version.
