ASTEC: A FRESH BREEZE TO CODICO'S POWER BULK!
CODICO has strengthened its power bulk with the addition of the ASTEC product range - offering a wide choice of AC power supplies and DC converters - to the linecard.
The AC/DC portfolio comprises open-card power supplies approved to industrial and medical standards, 19"-rack and plug-in modules, as well as configurable modular systems and DIN-rail packages ranging in power from 25W to 2.500W.
The indisputable highlight of the ASTEC range is the digitally controlled iMP Series with I²C bus, which earned Electronic Products magazine's Product of the Year award in 2005.
In the DC/DC realm, ASTEC offers standard industry footprint converters ranging from 6W to 30W, telecom standard 1/16-brick to full-brick modules with up to 700W, through to 300VDC high-power modules and PFC modules with 1600W. And there is no lack of solutions for bus architectures and point-of-load converters either!

Cooperation between ASTEC and CODICO is built on a well established system that ran very successfully with ARTESYN over many years. Now that EMERSON has united ASTEC and ARTESYN under one roof, the two sister companies will be able to concentrate on their core competencies as they work side by side. Thus, future product developments will permit each to prove their technical competence and leadership status. A good half year after the ARTESYN acquisition, indications are that the merger of the two companies is functioning in an exemplary manner. Apparently, lessons from the past have been learned well!
