The manufacturer, PHIHONG, designed the PSAA05 series for functionality and cost-effectiveness, to target applications that currently use conventional transformer power supplies with rectification. The PSAA05 is therefore the ideal replacement for these "current leeches."
Key Technical Details:
The compact PSAA5 linear eliminator adapter measures 6.6cm x 4cm x 2.7cm and weighs in at a mere 85g, whereas comparable mains transformers tip the scales at around 300g. A positive advantage indeed when one considers transportation costs alone. The worldwide input voltage range extends from 90VAC to 264VAC and the output delivers 5 / 15VDC with a static regulation tolerance of +/-5%.
The maximum nominal current is 1A, while overcurrent protection is 2A max. The rated temperature range extends from 0°C to 50°C,
a very friendly value for a plug-in type power supply.

Power dissipation conforms to all existing and conceived worldwide limits - according to CEC, Energy Star, ECOC, etc. No-load consumption is 0.3W max. and efficiency is 65%. Safety approvals and international listings as a "stand-alone" power supply furthermore provide ease of implementation in applications that target international markets.
