RUBYCON NEWS - AS ALWAYS, YOU HEARD IT FIRST FROM CODICO!
MXH SERIES: 400V/470µF IN A 12.5X25 CASE?
Even the world's most innovative manufacturer hasn't managed that (yet!).
The new MXH series does, however, move another step in this direction. By manufacturing the anode foil - an absolutely vital element for superior quality - in house, RUBYCON has once again managed to stay a step ahead of the competition when it comes to miniaturization. The reason: The huge gain factor (ratio of the aluminum foil surface to the actual capacitor surface) enables higher capacitance values for an identical volume. This specialized foil (with an applied oxide layer) is very brittle and therefore necessitates specialized production processes. By manufacturing the necessary winding and assembly machines in house, RUBYCON can assure effective production at a consistently high quality level. The new MXH series is initially being offered with a rated voltage of 400V and 450V. The available capacitance values range up to 820µF for 400V versions and 680µF for 450V versions. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the MXH series is ideally suited for use as an intermediate circuit capacitor in power supplies and converters with acute space limitations.
