RUBYCON NEWS!

125°C + A HIGHER CURRENT RATING? THE TXV DELIVERS!

A growing number of applications these days rely on capacitors that can withstand high temperatures. Unfortunately, existing SMD elcaps carrying a 125°C rating simply do not offer a high enough current load capacity or a low-enough ESR. RUBYCON's new TXV series, however, is a true low-ESR elcap that delivers top performance even under the roughest conditions. And, with a service life of 2,000h at 125°C, it can be used in applications where long performance at medium-range temperatures is typically required. By doubling by 10°C each, the series corresponds to a 105°C elcap having a basis service life of 8,000h. Thanks to its outstanding characteristics, the TXV's strengths are often put to use in automotive applications.

The following is a snapshot of the spec sheet:

  TXV Series Technical Data:

Rated Voltage: 10V to 35V
Capacitance: 22µF to 470µF
Dimensions :6.3mm x 6.1mm to 10mm x 10.5mm
Temperature Range: -40°C to +125°C
Service Life (guaranteed): 2,000h at 125°C(1,000h for 6.1mm diameter)

Of course, the TXV series is ROHS compliant, which means it is also designed to withstand higher soldering temperatures during assembly.

If you are struggling with high temperatures on the cap front, then let CODICO give you a hand!
