CELDUC Relais is now producing a new generation of solid state relays (SSR) with an integrated diagnostic function in the form of the SCD and SILD families. This innovation is CELDUC's reaction to repeated customer requests for "intelligent SSR". Faults such as load interruptions or no mains voltage are identified immediately. The signal can be used both as a return signal to a higher level controller or as a status indicator for an LED.

The status output can also be connected in series with other relays.
The semi-conductor relays operate in synchronous mode (switch cycle in zero crossing) and are designed for rated currents of 50 A and 75 A and for rated voltage of 70 to 280 VAC or 150 to 510 VAC. In the relay itself, two different colored LED's indicate that the control signal (green) and relay and the load (red) are functioning correctly. In addition to the optical status indicator, there is a switch output (all OK = switch closed) on the relay. This is used as a response to higher level controllers.
To achieve the maximum rated current, a suitable cooler component is required for the SCD series.
The new SILD SSR generation already has a cooler component with an integral DIN adapter for fast installation, which is ideally suited to the relay.
As a result of their slim design, these modules can be snapped on to the DIN rail easily and quickly in the ideal positions, depending on the application for one or multiple phase applications. The control voltage may vary from 3 to 32 VDC and the cycle frequency from 40 to 770 Hz depending on the type.
If several SSR are used in the same system at the same time, the diagnostic connection can also be "looped". This results in massive reductions in the amount of wiring and therefore cost.
