GET CONNECTED: ETHERNET MODULES
ETHERNET CONNECTIONS MADE SIMPLE WITH MODULAR SOLUTIONS FROM CODICO.
The market demand for Ethernet interfaces and Internet connectivity is growing steadily, and that goes for industrial applications as well. Because dedicated solutions generally require years of development time, designers cannot simply migrate to a new processor platform. To help make upgrading legacy products easier, CODICO offers a variety of modular solutions as an alternative.

ATWEBSEG32 ATWEBSEG32 is a gateway module (serial Ethernet) from ATMEL. Compact and extremely cost-effective, the module is also easy to integrate directly into the user's existing board. For no-fuss evaluation, ATMEL offers a cost-effective evaluation kit. The module has a maximum data throughput of 230 Kbps.
DIGI CONNECT ME This module from DIGI INTERNATIONAL is based on NETSILICON's NS7520 processor, a high-performance ARM7 TDMI chip with an integrated Ethernet MAC. The module is equipped with an RJ-45 socket on one side and a TTL Interface on the other. It also features a real-time operating system, an embedded web server and secure DES/3DES/AES encryption functions, and the module also supports Java applets. The attainable data throughput extends to 921 Kbps maximum. The Digi Connect ME module is easy to configure using a network browser. And, of course, DIGI also offers a low-cost evaluation kit.
UNC20 Unlike the modules mentioned above, this solution can also be used as the basic platform for the user's application. Despite the added flexibility, the UNC20 is very compact. Like the DIGI Connect ME module, the UNC20 board includes an NS7520 ARM7 TDMI processor, which can also be used with the customer's application. The low-cost development kit includes a ported Linux operating system and a Gnu C Compiler. Not only can the UNC20 board be used to evaluate the NS7520, it can also serve as the processor sub-board in the application itself.
