MICREL'S NEW MICRF008 RF RECEIVER
MAKES AN EXCELLENT ALTERNATIVE FOR DISCRETE SUPERREGENERATIVE RECEIVERS.
The newest member of MICREL's QwikRadioTM family is designed for low-cost applications and
offers the highest on-chip integration of any competing IC solution in its class. The
MICRF008 requires fewer external components than the competition, and has an automatic
tuning function incorporated that eliminates the need for external tuning.
The patented sweep mode permits the
device to work effectively with the least expensive, lower accuracy transmitters, since
the transmit frequency doesn't need to be set to a fixed value.

The wide RF capture range furthermore
enables the receipt of signals that lie marginally outside of the standard 433 MHz
frequency.
The automatic tuning feature eliminates the need for tuning during the production phase,
and the optimized settings remain in tact under a variety of external influences.
