LCD MODULES AND CSTN DISPLAYS WITH WHITE LEDS STANDARD!
TRULY Semiconductors now offers LCD Modules with white LED backlighting as standard
products.

Currently available are a character
module with 16 characters and 2 rows (MC-162-3) and graphic display modules with a
resolution of 320x240 dots and 480x64 dots (MG-320240-22 and MG-48064-1). The white LED
(CCFL alternative) is particularly effective for displaying negative images, which results
in improved contrast for these modules.
TRULY is also targeting the booming market for color LCDs with a choice of three different
standard modules. The MG320240 -15 color display for the normal operating temperature
range has a resolution of 320x240 dots (5.7"). Extended temperature range versions
include a module with 128x160 dots (1.8") and one with 128x128 dots (1.5"). The
larger QVGA CSTN display uses a CCFL backlight, while the two smaller modules are equipped
with white LEDs for backlighting. Advantages include longer operating life and no need for
an extra DC/AC converter.
