INT: Good day, Mr. Berner. Please introduce yourself to our readers. THB: My name is Thomas Berner, I am 46 years old, and I have been working at CODICO since March 2008 in the “Active Components” section. In addition to my involvement as a Product Line Manager for two important lines in the power supply sector, MPS and POWER INTEGRATIONS, I have also been responsible for about a year, as Group Manager, for the Product Managers and FAE’s in the Munich office. I am married and father of two daughters and I live 13 km outside Munich.
INT: What is important to you? THB: In private life, obviously the family and a harmonious co-existence. With regard to the profession, I set great value on open communications and team spirit. In that context I try to keep a balance, and keep the customers satisfied while at the same time keeping suppliers and staff happy.
INT: How would you describe your hobbies? THB: Recently family outings with the mobile home have become my favourite activity, both short trips as well as complete holidays. As well as that, I like heading into the Alps on my motorbike, or enjoying the summer on my bicycle.
INT: What would your motto for life be? THB: Live and let live.
INT: And what are your aims in life, Mr. Berner? THB: Being healthy and happiness, and always staying curious.
INT: You would never like to be without …? THB: Freedom and a good conversation.
INT: And you would never forgive…? THB: Ignorance and intolerance
INT: One day you would like to change places with…? THB: With an eagle or a condor, simply in order to be able to sail in the updraught on the slopes of the Rocky Mountains or the Andes, and seeing the world from above.
INT: As the best way to start the day, you need…? THB: Breakfast with the family and at least one event in the day which I can already look forward to in the morning.
INT: You get worked up about…? THB: Lack of readiness to co-operate in a team.
INT: And what is really typically you…? THB: Pursing goals I have set myself conscientiously and with perseverance
