Dear Readers,
 
I am very pleased to have the opportunity to introduce myself in this issue of Impulse. My name is Sandra Strohmaier and I work in CODICO’s connector technology department. After gaining initial job experience in the office environment, bookkeeping and sales, and lastly in purchasing, I’ve now been working in office sales at CODICO for almost a year and a half. It’s definitely great fun to be a member of this highly successful and dynamic team! I also enjoy taking part in activities outside of work with my coworkers – for example, I’ve already participated with a CODICO team in the Austrian Womens Run on two occasions. In addition, I spent a very fun weekend with coworkers in Dornbirn, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who remembers the “bunny event.”

In my free time, I like to stay in shape with sports – such as going to the fitness studio, bicycling, running, inline skating and playing tennis – and it’s a great way to find balance for work. Traveling is also a passion of mine, as I like exploring new countries and learning about foreign cultures. In addition, I enjoy vacationing in Austria, especially in the beautiful “thermal regions.”

I like watching football matches, too, and I fevered along with the many other fans during the EURO 2008 football championship – both on home TV and in the fan zones. Unfortunately, my euphoria wasn’t enough to help the Austrian national team do better!

I’ll bid farewell today by revealing my life’s motto: carpe diem (or “seize the day”). I look forward to hearing from you soon at CODICO!
