With the HiperPLC, POWER INTEGRATIONS has introduced its first controller to contain a PFC (power factor correction) stage, an LLC resonant converter and a high-voltage, half-bridge driver (800V) in a single IC. The individual stages are internally synchronized to minimize output noise and improve EMC behavior.
In addition to the above functionality, the HiperPLC features the well known safety functions that PI builds into many of its other IC solutions, which will help you save space and reduce costs in your application. The HiperPLC is suited for highly efficient power supply applications in the 200W-600W power range, including the following (among others):

PC power supplies with up to 92% efficiency
