Last year, CODICO again teamed up with manufacturers MINDSPEED and ZARLINK at the Broadband World Forum (BBWF) trade fair in Paris.

As in the past, our product portfolio and well-illuminated mutual stand drew a great deal of interest, which allowed us to make a number of new customer contacts. Among other highlights, the following products were exhibited:

ZARLINK showed its newest dual-channel VE8820 Tracking Battery VoicePort™, which helps reduce cost, power consumption and space at the system level. The features of the VoicePort chipset are decisive for enabling cost-effective voice-over-broadband solutions with full functionality.

As part of a demonstration using the Comcerto 1000 evaluation board, MINDSPEED showed that a routing performance of 2Gbit/s (1Gbit/s in each direction) is possible with the Comcerto 1000. In addition, customers were introduced to a fully functional SIP-VoIP private branch exchange implementation based on the Comcerto 300 with G.722 wideband CODEC.
