MPS now supplies scalable solutions for a wide range of power levels for the implementation of AC/DC combinational circuits in the form of the HFC0100 controller and integral HF01B0X regulator family.

The HFC0100 is a peak-current-mode controller with Green-Mode Operation. Its high efficiency over the complete voltage and load range means that it also complies with the very latest requirements from the regulation authorities.

The block contains a high voltage power source and its valley detection allows the external MOSFETs to be switched through with minimal voltage (quasi-resonant switching capacity). If the output falls below a specified value the controller switches to burst mode and thus reduces its losses in standby mode.

The HFC0100 is available in the SOIC-8 package. In addition to the HFC0100, the HF01B0X family also includes a 700V FET which means that a circuit with few external components can be produced as a result of this integration. The integrated family includes blocks for ratings from 8W to 54W. The blocks in the HF01B0X series are available in the DIP-8 package.
