SNUBBER CAPACITORS
|
Today’s ever higher switching frequencies result in higher peak voltages and frequency-induced noise at the switching element. The capacitors used to protect the semiconductor devices are thus subjected to high electrical stresses and must meet specialized criteria, with a low dissipation loss factor and high peak current capability key among them. Two technologies that achieve this are double metalized polypropylene capacitors (MMKPs) and special ceramic capacitors made of low-loss ceramics. P03 |
