Smaller, faster and capable of running the highest number of complex applications directly in the module! Thanks to the embedded Linux operating system, MO300E GSM/EDGE modules open a whole new world of possibilities for numerous M2M applications!

SAGEM COMMUNICATIONS is the first manufacturer to wed a Linux operating system with EDGE technology – a “marriage” that has resulted in extremely efficient and flexible modules. But, will the MO300E revolutionize the M2M market? In certain respects, yes, for a GSM/GPRS/EDGE module with embedded Linux has never before been available. SAGEM thus offers users the ability to integrate their Linux open-source applications directly inside the module, with no need for implementing a separate processor, memory, interface ICs, etc. Besides saving resources, this shortens development time and productivity. Plus, the module’s comprehensive interfaces – such as USB, SPI, I/Os, digital audio, etc. – coupled with its ample working and program memory should be plenty for a variety of M2M applications. For all SAGEM GSM modules, CODICO supports many options when it comes to connecting the antenna, and we can thus accommodate the requirements of diverse M2M applications. A remote update of applications in accordance with OTA e-maintenance is also supported. And, with an extended operational temperature range of -35°C to +75°C, a robust design and a very low power consumption of under 2mA in idle mode (device registered with network and able to receive calls), the modules are especially well suited for industrial and automotive applications. The technologically innovative MO300E solution supports all worldwide GSM bands and the embedded Internet connectivity meets all requirements as well.
