The UTS circular connector series from SOURIAU has been expanded to now offer screw-type contact terminations. A standard screwdriver is all it takes to terminate this UTS connector to the cable wires. The screw termination method is advantageous for fixed installations that do not allow pre-assembled cable runs, or fixed installations that cannot be otherwise expanded, particularly those found in traffic control and lighting systems. In addition, screw termination is a viable option anytime crimp tools are not available and solder termination is out of the question.
SOURIAU’s UTS connectors offer optimal protection in accordance with IP I68 or IP69K, and they provide resistance to salt spray and potentially damaging exhaust gases. The connectors are fully operational across the wide temperature of - 40°C to +105°C. UTS connectors are offered with three different shell sizes and from 3 to 19 contacts rated for 5A to 13A.
