MINDSPEED & Video broadcast: new dual cable equalizer M21524 for Serial Digital Interface (SDI)
The new dual cable equalizer M21524 provides adaptive, low noise, high gain equalization for two 75 ohm coaxial cables at SDI data rates from 143 Mbps to 2.97 Gbps. It also features a 2x2 crosspoint switch allowing any input to be routed to either output.
The new dual cable equalizer M21524 provides adaptive, low noise, high gain equalization for two 75 ohm coaxial cables at SDI data rates from 143 Mbps to 2.97 Gbps. It also features a 2x2 crosspoint switch allowing any input to be routed to either output. This device is capable of compensating for losses accumulated across cable lengths for up to 140m when operating at 2.97 Gbps. With power consumption of only 160mW per channel this device consumes 2/3 less power per channel than other existing solutions. The M21524 will be available for sampling in the third quarter of 2009
