Film Capacitors

Film capacitors have a low loss factor, and thus a high Q and current capacity. Their capacitance and loss factor are only minimally dependent on temperature and frequency. In addition, their self-healing properties lend film capacitors a very high tolerance against peak voltages and thus make them ideally suited for use as X and Y capacitors.
