Y-Con ProfiNet Series:
Building on the success of ProfiBus, the ProfiNet transmission standard is on its way to becoming one of the most significant interconnection standards for industrial automation systems. Y-Con ProfiNet connectors employ piercing contacts and have a mating face that is identical to that of the RJ45 connector. Thus, the connectors can be used with standard RJ45 jacks and are backwards compatible.

Y-ConIEEE Series:
Plug-and-play FireWire interfaces (IEEE1394b) are by now finding increased use in industrial applications. Due to the high data rates supported, this standard interface enables all relevant data in the typical industrial environment to be transmitted via a single medium, including tasks traditionally performed by field buses.
