The 2x4 form factor is establishing itself as the new standard for power supplies in the 80W to 100W power range with non-forced cooling, and 150W with fan cooling. EMERSON will soon introduce such a product family, while EOS-RedRocket already has an initial version for cost-sensitive applications in production and a high-performance version to follow shortly.
EOS-RedRockets WLT/MWLT-100 series offers an efficiency of 86%. With power consumption for electronic devices an increasingly hot topic, the series comes in response to the latest market developments. The devices have been certified to meet medical (IEC60601) and industrial (IEC60950) standards for use with a universal input range of 85VAC to 264VAC, at the same time meeting common standards for electromagnetic compatibility. The WLT/MWLT-100 family is available with a fixed output from 12V to 48VDC and delivers 100W of output power in the temperature range -20°C to +50°C for an airflow of 50lfm, or 80W under pure convection cooling. Those requiring more power will welcome the soon to be available WLT/MWLT150 series featuring a wider thermal operating range, remote sensing, etc. A metal housing is optionally available, and both the power supplies and cover are manufactured in the companys own factory in India.
The WLT100 / MWLT100 series is an optimal solution for price-sensitive, compact applications with a power requirement of up to 100W, and where ambient temperature is not all too high, peak loads over 100W do not occur and a single output voltage suffices: e.g., laboratory equipment, measurement/instrumentation technology, analytical devices and smaller scale automated equipment, among others.
