CASCADING, FULLY INTEGRATED 25 A SYNCHRONOUS CONVERTER FROM MPS – THE MP8620

The MP8620 synchronous converter can be operated both as a single-phase converter with a current of 25A or cascaded as a multi-phase converter with a current of up to 100 A. The integral synchronous output with a phase angle of 90°, 120° or 180° means that a single filter at the output is sufficient.

The standard frequency of 600 kHz can either be synchronized to an external clock signal between 300 kHz and 900 kHz or changed to a value between 300kHz and 1.5MHz using an external connection.

Its average current mode allows the converter to function even in low duty cycles and noisy environments.

The MP8620 is suitable for a wide range of restricted space applications such as point of low conversion, AISC, FPGA and DDR memory supplies and a power supply to network and telecommunications servers.
