EOS - the new WLT Series

Peak capability 40-300W Open Card Power Units for industrial and medical technology applications.

It uses only two footprints (2x4 and 3x5 inches) to cover the entire power spectrum from 40 to 300W.

In addition, this makes them compatible with their predecessors in the VLT series. Thanks to the higher power density, the power supply units can now be used, without the need for mechanical upgrading, for redesigns with higher performance requirements. And thanks to the improved degree of efficiency, the 300W version with convection cooling can now deliver up to 200W, which means that a great number of applications now no longer have any need for a fan. An alternative to installation with plugs is provided by the optional screw terminals (primary and secondary).

The power units are available with and without earth conductors (protection class 1 and 2). As from 150W rated power, a fan can be fed via an additional 12VDC output (0.5A, peak capability 1A), and from 200W there is a further 5VDC auxiliary output with 1A. As is usual with EOS, the new WLT series is available with single and multiple outputs up to 48VDC. All power units are provided with approvals in accordance with EN60950 or EN60601 respectively (Ed.3, Medical Technology), as well as EN55022 Class B (cable-related and radiation EMI).

In the lower power range, power consumption during no-load operation is less than 0.3W, and therefore conforms to the ErP(Energy-related-products) 2009/125/EC Directive. The optional Cover Kits ensure protection against contact in accordance with IP20. The features Power Good Signal, Remote Sensing, and Remote on/off round off the performance profile, and give the new WLT series from EOS a vast and versatile range of applications.
