QXW & CXW – radial design offers the solution!

On the strength of its in-house manufacture of the anode film, an essential determinant for the quality of capacitors, RUBYCON has once again managed a leap in technology. The resulting high gain factor enables high capacitance values with no increase in the volume. Extensive know-how is a requirement for advanced production processes, and RUBYCON has plenty, including the manufacture of its own winding and assembly machines. With the ability to increase performance and, at the same time, drive miniaturization forward, RUBYCON is able to keep a step ahead. Both of the new radial capacitor series target application in intermediate circuits and are available with rated voltages of 400V, 420V and 450V. The capacitance values extend up to 220uF and current capacity is higher than that of snap-in type capacitors. The QXW series offers a guaranteed service life of 2,000h at 105°C, while the CXW significantly tops that with 5,000h. Thanks to the extremely compact dimensions, these new capacitors are an ideal choice for the intermediate circuits of power supplies and inverters that have limited available space. Versions with angled leads are also available. Especially for the slimmer models, e.g., 10mm x 50mm, this makes them suitable for extremely low-profile applications.

- Dimensions:  10mm x 40mm to 18mm x 50mm
- Temperature range: -25°C to +105°C
- Service life (guaranteed): 5,000h at 105°C and full load
