New 90°-molded RJ45 connector with IP20 protection and dual locking for high vibration stability!

YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS has added a new product to its Y-Con industrial connector series: A 90°-molded version of the IP20Lock with RJ45 plug, designed for use in high-vibration environments.

The new Y-ConIP20Lock-31xx products are cable assemblies molded together at a 90° angle with the IP20 locking mechanism. Thanks to the ergonomic locking clips, the new connectors are easy to handle without the need for tools. The clips lock into a holding frame screwed to the application housing, thus preventing mechanical stress on the interface itself and protecting it from damage.

Augmenting the locking clips is a new slider mechanism that offers additional mechanical security and even higher retention forces by stopping the IP20Lock from opening inadvertently.

The 90° molded design offers the shortest possible overhang of 30mm, which helps save space in confined areas, while also providing secure strain relief. The cable assemblies are made to order, to meet the customer’s required length.

The existing Y-ConIP20Lock-10 (180° version) and the new -31xx products are the smallest IP20 vibration-stabile solutions with an additional locking mechanism. Their compact design not only allows integration into 19-inch rack systems, but also makes them suitable for a large number of industrial applications where vibration stability is a main issue, for example: rail and traffic systems, mechanical engineering video link systems, control cabinets etc.

The holding frame is available as a single, double, quad and, on request, eightfold version. The strain relief with locking clips is suitable for all Y-ConRJ45 plug type connectors, including those that use additional power contacts.

Like all YAMAICHI ELECTRONICS products, the new connectors are RoHS compliant.
