Optical Post Amplifiers
Optical Post Amplifiers convert differential or single-ended analog signals to high-speed digital outputs, using a chain of limiting amplifiers.
A typical signal chain is: photo-diode => Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIA) => optical Post Amplifiers => Clock and Data Recovery (CDR)
Many of these MACOM Optical Post Amplifiers products has include a programmable signal-level detector, programmed with an off-chip resistor. They are available in a number of speeds to covering 155 Mb/s to 12.5 Gb/s applications.
