BLUE-BEAN Combo-Radio-Module by 8DEVICES

The new BLUE-BEAN module from 8DEVICES is based on the QCA9377-7 radio chip from QUALCOMM and provides two USB interfaces to connect single-stream 11ac Wave2 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 applications to a host processor.
The radio-module is available in 2 versions, with integrated antenna in 24x12mm (BLUE-BEAN-A) or with Murata HSC type connector MM4829-2702RB0 in 17x12mm (BLUE-BEAN-C).
In Wi-Fi mode the bandwidths 20MHz, 40MHz and 80MHz are supported with a maximum data rate of 433Mbps (Multi User, Wave 2, 11ac) and an output power of maximum 20dBm. Beside 802.11ac @5GHz the module offers also the 2.4GHz band, which ends up in the support of all established Wi-Fi standards: 802.11 b/g/n/a/ac.

Wi-Fi is connected to the host via USB2.0, whereas Bluetooth v4.2 + HS (backwards compatible with v1.x and v2.x) finds connection via USB1.1. The modules are supported by Linux and Windows drivers. According to the manufacture CE, FCC and IC certifications are announced to be available by end of February 2018. The temperature grade is defined for -40 to +85°C.
