VITROHM's New Series Is Ideally Suited for Protecting the Control System
Modern asynchronous machines are controlled by frequency converters. During braking, the motor acts as a generator and an increase in voltage can occur in the DC link. To protect the control system, the excessive braking energy must be dissipated in the form of heat. The high performance resistor series RHX from VITROHM is ideally suited for this purpose.
DOWNLOAD DATASHEETOften this energy is fed back into the grid in generator operation, which is now the case in many applications. Where this is not possible, VITROHM's high-power resistor RHX is used, which is also suitable for control cabinet mounting in rail vehicles or wind turbines due to its versatile mounting options.
