HIROSE’s ix Industrial™ Series represents the next generation of connectors for Ethernet and other industrial data transmission applications. Its compact and robust design makes it ideal for use in demanding industrial environments. The product portfolio has now been expanded with a new field-assembly version as well as a water- and dust-resistant (IP67) variant.
SamplesIP67-Rated Version for Extreme Industrial Environments
The IP67-protected version enables reliable data communication even under the most challenging conditions, such as in manufacturing environments with high humidity, dust exposure, or strong environmental stress. In addition, the ix Industrial™ connector is approximately 45% smaller than conventional RJ45 solutions, enabling significant space savings while increasing wiring density.
Robust Connector Design With Secure Locking Mechanism
The IP67 version consists of a specially sealed plug and a flange socket for front-panel mounting on the device. The plug features a push-pull locking mechanism with an additional double-lock system for maximum operational safety. The socket is fully compatible with all existing ix Industrial™ variants, ensuring easy integration into existing systems.
Extended Applications for Industrial Environments
With the additional water- and dust-resistant variants, the ix Industrial™ Series now offers even more robust solutions for industrial cabling and communication requirements. It is ideally suited for use in particularly demanding environments. Typical applications include FA controllers, servo amplifiers, industrial robots, and PLC-based safety applications.

Field-Assembly Option for Flexible Industrial Installations
In industrial applications where cable lengths often need to be defined on-site, field-assembly connectors provide maximum flexibility. The field-assembly version of the ix Industrial™ Series enables reliable on-site termination. Thanks to a patented ratchet-style clamping mechanism, secure and stable connections can be achieved using standard tools - no special equipment required. This solution significantly improves both usability and operational reliability in industrial environments. The connectors are supplied in practical blister packaging, ensuring safe transport and easy handling in production facilities, outdoor construction sites, and other installation environments.
