8DEVICES Kinkan Embedded Linux WiFi Module
With an Extensive Set of Interfaces
Kinkan is a powerful Embedded Linux WiFi module from 8DEVICES with an extensive set of interfaces packed in an extreme small LGA package.
Kinkan is packed with an extensive set of interfaces and a robust 1GHz MIPS 24Kc CPU in a module dimension of 19.5x26.7mm. The module is single side mounted in a LGA (land grid array) package for compact surface mount designs. The built-in 128MB RAM and 32MB FLASH memory environment supports embedded Linux applications with OpenWRT. Kinkan supports GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART, I2S, PCM/SLIC, USB2.0, PCIe, MDIO, PWM, RGMII, 100Base-T, SDXC SD/eMMC cards, SPI/parallel NAND FLASH and can boot from internal NOR FLASH or externally from SD/eMMC cards or SPI/parallel NAND FLASH.
High performance is not affecting low power consumption. With full load on LAN and WLAN interfaces Kinkan consumes up to 4W of power at 3.3V.
