COMPEX Expands Wi-Fi7 Portfolio with M.2 E Key 4×4 Modules
Setting Up Industrial Designs with the WLTE7000E Series
With the new WLTE7000E series, COMPEX expands its Wi-Fi7 portfolio for the first time with 4×4 MU-MIMO single-band modules in the M.2 E Key form factor featuring a PCIe 3.0 interface. Based on the Waikiki chipset family (QCN-6224, QCN-6274, and QCN-9274) from Qualcomm® Technologies, the modules are available for multiple frequency bands and target high-performance access points, gateways, and industrial Wi-Fi7 designs that require high data rates and flexible integration.
SamplesVariants and Compatibility
The new family includes the following variants: WLTE7000E2 (2.4GHz), WLTE7000E5 (5GHz), WLTE7000E6 (6GHz). Combined with PCIe 3.0 and the standardized M.2 E Key interface, these modules enable high data throughput, improved system capacity, and stable performance for demanding Wi-Fi7 architectures. All variants support Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and are available in both commercial and industrial temperature grades. CODICO offers a wide range of Wi-Fi Radio Modules for every interface.
Performance Overview
- WLTE7000E2 (40MHz bandwidth, EHT40): Up to 1.3Gbps physical data rate – ideal for range-optimized applications in the traditional 2.4GHz band
- WLTE7000E5 (240MHz bandwidth, EHT240): Up to 8.6Gbps – designed for high-performance access points, backhaul links, and dense user environments
- WLTE7000E6 (320MHz bandwidth, EHT320): Up to 11.5Gbps – engineered for ultra-high-speed scenarios such as AR/VR streaming, cloud gaming, and large-scale IoT deployments
