AMPAK's New Triple Combo Module With Wi-Fi6/6E

AMPHENOL COMMUNICATIONS SOLUTIONS’ FLT terminal block

AP6611S: Wi-Fi6E and Bluetooth5.3 Combo SoC

AMPAK TECHNOLOGIES released the AP6611S based on SYNAPTICS SYN43711 chipset, a Wi-Fi6E and Bluetooth5.3 combo system on chip (SoC) that adds to the portfolio of products tailored for the high-performance segment of the IoT market. The SYN43711 explicitly targets use cases that demand superior Wi-Fi throughput and range with seamless network interoperability.

Tri-Band Combo Supports the Latest Requirements

Specific applications include high-end home appliances, surveillance cameras, robots and other consumer, industrial and enterprise systems.

The SYN43711 is a single-stream (1x1, 600Mbps) device that complements SYNAPTICS’ dual-stream (2x2, 1200Mbps) SYN43756E and Triple Combo (SYN438x series). The SYN43711 gives customers a more cost-effective, small-form-factor option. Power consumption has been optimised by advanced Rf architecture and process technology.

Innovations include support for Wi-Fi Sensing, using a proprietary algorithm to analyse Channel State Information (CSI). The algorithm allows any Wi-Fi-connected embedded device to detect the presence of humans, estimate their motion, approximate their location and sense subtle gestures and movements, like breathing.

The SYN43711 operates in the 2.4, 5, and 6GHz bands and features SYNAPTICS’ Smart Co-Ex technology for unmatched Wi-Fi/Bluetooth coexistence. It is IEEE 802.11ax compliant and supports Bluetooth5.3 with LE Audio for multiple concurrent Bluetooth connections and audio streams, including Auracast. A shared Wi-Fi and Bluetooth receive signal path eliminates the need for an external RF switch while maintaining high sensitivity.

The AP6611S has industry-leading Wi-Fi performance, with Wi-Fi6E data rates up to 600Mbps, as well as transmit power and receive sensitivity that together enable sustained high throughput over an extended range for full-home coverage. AMPAK provides a Linux driver for the integration in the host CPU SW stack.
